If you think your review doesn't break our guidelines, you can appeal. It's free, and you have 6 months from the decision.
How to appeal
- Log in and go to My profile.
- Find the review with the status Held back or Removed.
- Choose Appeal the decision.
- Under Why do you disagree? choose a reason: The review doesn't break the rule, The decision is based on a mistake or Other.
- Under Explain your appeal write at least 30 characters about why you disagree.
- Choose Send appeal.
At the top of the page you see the reason, the rule, who decided the case, and how many days are left before the deadline.
If the review has been held back, it's often quicker to edit it. See Edit a review that has been held back.
What happens next
- The appeal is handled by a different member of staff from the one who made the decision. The system doesn't allow the same member of staff to decide the appeal.
- You can follow the case on the appeal page and under My profile.
- You get the answer by email.
- Your appeal was upheld: the review becomes public again.
- The decision stands: the review remains held back or removed. If it has been held back, you can still edit it.
Do you still disagree?
Then you can refer the case to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body under the Digital Services Act. Read more in the terms, or contact us and we'll help.
If it doesn't work
- No Appeal the decision button? You can only appeal once per decision, and only within 6 months.
- Can't send? Choose a reason, and write at least 30 characters.
- Attach a file is coming later. Instead, write the details in the text, e.g. the date of purchase.
