Why invite customers to review you?

Invitations give you more reviews and a fairer picture, because every customer is asked, not just the ones who find their own way.

Most customers don't write a review on their own. Those who do have often had a very good or a very bad experience. When you invite all customers, you get a picture that is closer to reality.

What you get out of it

  • More reviews: The customer gets an email with five stars. One click on a star opens the review with the stars selected.
  • The Invited label: Reviews from an invitation are labelled Invited, so everyone can see where they come from.
  • Verified purchase: If the invitation belongs to an order from your webshop or from the API, the review also gets the Verified purchase label.
  • Honest feedback: You also hear about what didn't go well, and you can reply to it publicly.

What invitations don't do

Invitations are no shortcut to a higher SaysScore. All reviews become public, including the critical ones, and you can't change or remove what the customer writes. The email to the customer says so too.

How to get started

Open Invitations in the dashboard. Here you can choose between four ways:

  • Automatic: Connect Shopify or WooCommerce so customers are invited after every order.
  • Bulk (CSV): Upload a customer list from Excel or your webshop.
  • Manual: Paste email addresses directly.
  • Link and QR: Share your review link, e.g. on the receipt or at the till.

Invite all customers in the same way. That's the rule for every company. Read The rules for invitations.
